Taylor & Katharine

Taylor Hicks has been busy since he was crowned American Idol. His single “Do I Make you Proud is #1 and if you haven’t picked up the latest People magazine you’re  missing a great interview. Taylor has also finished a Ford TV commercial and last week sang with Snoop Dog, The Allman Brothers Band and The Little Memphis Blues Orchestra all at City Stages in Birmingham Alabama. From everything I’ve read about Taylor he really insists his new CD will be music he feels passionate about and it will all have his personal approval. He’s also gearing up for the Idol tour kicking off July 5th.

Katharine McPhee will be in this week’s People Magazine with a story on her five year struggle with bulimia that began in her junior year of high school. According to People Magazine, at her lowest point she would vomit seven times a day, “putting a sledgehammer to her vocal cords.” Katharine entered the Eating Disorder Centre of California after auditioning for American Idol. She spent three months, six days a week getting the help she needed to overcome the illness.

Katharine’s single My Destiny / Somewhere Over the Rainbow will be released this Tuesday June 27th.
